Just passed the Core exam

Passed the Core exam a couple of minutes ago.

Score 702, not bad, and thanks a lot for this site and people around.
OS part plan to be done tomorrow...

Get a right book for you, go through.
Go to forum here improve your confidence and get more knowledge.
Do practice test as much as possible.

did you find any part of the test especially hard, or questions that were unexpected?

Time gives me a little bit more trouble, I almost used the whole 90 min.

The EIA/TIA cable standard question is unexpected

I just did a search in my Absolute Beginner's Guild to A+ Cert. and found no result. I have never came across that in my studies. Thats why I'm checking the forums and see what weird and unexpected questions ppl are getting. Because there is no way I could of known the answer to that.

WHat is it anyways? Anyone know?

It's a standard.
EIA = Electronic Industries Association
TIA = Telecommunications Industry Association

These boards keep it so that when you need a cable or find some wiring, typically anyone who was qualified to hook it up followed the same 'rules' and you should be able to trust that you can follow them the same for the next person. As well as the cable structures (so you buy things as they are labeled and you find the proper thing inside).

CCNA is much more in-depth than Network+.
