Passed ICND1

nvrdunnnvrdunn Member Posts: 20 ■□□□□□□□□□
Been lurking around and gathering information, especially with regards to subnetting. Took the ICND1 test this morning and passed. The most stressful part was the feeling I was going to run out of time. I’m so use to the Microsoft tests where you can go back to previous questions, so this was a big change for me. All in all, a pass is a pass. Now to jump into the ICND2…

I used the Trainsignal videos, Cisco book and using the lab I setup.

Onwards!

    Boom! Congrats!
    Modularity and Design Simplicity:

Think of the 2:00 a.m. test—if you were awakened in the
middle of the night because of a network problem and had to figure out the
traffic flows in your network while you were half asleep, could you do it?

    Congratulations on your pass :).

I have a couple of 26xx routers and a 2811 router. Have 2x 2950's and 2x 3550 PoE switches as well. Plus a hand full of phones, remote access server, VMWare server for all the servers for Call Manager and such. As you can see my plan is to head down the voice track. :)

I refuse those pictures! They're too small to make me geek-out.

Put your lab there (Higher Res, plz.kthx), and get some rep ;)

Thank you. Knowing my plan was to move into the Voice track I picked up 2 routers that can support CME and 2 switches with PoE. Then kept an eye out for phones and picked them up when the price was right.
