Stumbled upon this last weekend, the Wireshark book was updated to second edition a few months ago.

Amazon.com: Wireshark Network Analysis (Second Edition): The Official Wireshark Certified Network Analyst Study Guide (9781893939943): Laura Chappell, Gerald Combs: Books

Probably to order this one soon. Looks like it covers IPv6 some more.

I was all for the book. Then I seen the cost. Then I cried.

Close to 1000 pages of new packet reading tips just published in March 2012. Oh yes. Then peak inside and see a little bit of TCP Humor "ACKS" instead of Acknolwedgments. Har! I wanted it then, now!

    Then I seen the price...
See below picture of like-situation that clearly shows my distress.

Ouch, that price hurts. I've been toying with Wireshark the past few days and would love to know more but I wouldn't spend $100 for it.

Updated my Amazon wish list for books I think I might order someday and when I review my list I notice all the other books I thought I was going to order some day.

The Kindle price is a bit less expensive then the phsyical book if that helps with the price at all.
