70-647 Pros and Cons - Worth Finishing?

I have seen similar threads on this with regards the retiring of this exam in July 2013.
My future studies will be on System Centre Configuration Manager 2012 (for work reasons)
Also I will be looking at the 70-417: Upgrading Your Skills to MCSA Windows Server® 2012 as i have the MCSA 2008.
I have already bought books for the 70-647
i.e. MCITP Windows Server 2008 Exterprise Administrator (SYBEX), by Steven Johnson which is a bit out of date. However, I do have the MS Press - Second Edition of Windows Server 2008 Exterprise Administrator, which covers Server 2008 R2.
Whilst the exam is very difficult, I propose the read through these books as the overall knowledge gained would be beneficial, even if I decided to not take the exam. I've browsed through these books and they seem to build on all the previous exams, something of a grand finale encompassing all topics.
I have 11 months to sort this, is this do-able?
Any thoughts please?

Do it. It's one test to finish EA. It seems like a no-brainer to me. It won't take you 11 months, or it shouldn't, anyway. -

It seems sensible to go for it as I'm only one test away.
