Well....It all started January of 2003 with the Managing Cisco Network Security exam. I finally put this one to bed today by finishing the CSI (642-541), test....and adding CCSP to the list.

I will be honest, when I pressed enter on this exam, I wasn't sure if I was going to pass. I ended up being suprised with a score in the 900s. It's been a while since I started the track....but remembering back....I would have to say, this one was the hardest one I took during this track. You have to bring all the device configurations of previous exams together on this one.....plus some newer technologies than what was being tested when I started the track. If you need this one to finish out your CCSP, don't take it lightly.

For this exam, I used the Sybex book and Knowledgenet course. This is along with all the Cisco Press books, boson practice exams, and Knowledgenet courses for all the others in this track. Without those, I would be taking this one again.

On to the next Professional level track....CCVP. This one will be a learning experience. I do other VoIP work...with other vendors..(Avaya)...but very little with Cisco.

    Congratulations again Kenny! With the qualified specialist certifications, 'the letter', and the CCSP itself, that's a great addition to your already great list of certs.

    Does this mean you will be making an attempt to pass the CCIE security lab? Speaking of lab, did you schedule a date to settle the score?

    Congratulations. I've ran accross plenty of entry-level CCNA type jobs that require VoIP cert or at the least some basic knowledge of its operation and implementations.

    Just remember everything from all the other CCSP exams.....oh yeah...a few things from the Routing and Switching exams too.

    It is all good....just don't take it lightly. Remember..I thought I had done bad, but still got in the 900s...So, it can't be that bad. :D

    the only exam i've ever failed is csi (safe) ......

    well ... i haven't tried the lab yet .....
