Offline Files on a VPN.

Hi all!
Iam trying to figure out a issue for a user. We have 5 different VPN
connections for our remote offices and we have users at Coporate go down to
anyone of them. The problem that is happening is that their My Docs are
mapped to their home dir (H Drive) and is available offline. Now, when a user
goes to a remote office and vpns back into corporate, their file access is
really slow, but does eventually open the file(s). What iam looking for is
when a user is at the remote office, they can use their offline my docs and
then sync back when they are at corporate.
Synching their files across the vpn is slow as some have 2-3 gigs of stuff.
The problem iam see is that the pc knows its on the network when its
connected to the vpn and thinks its at corp. I want everything they do while
not at corp to be in their my docs for the sake of speed ect... Does this
make sense?
Any ideas will be great!
PC`s are Win XP Pro/SP2
Servers are Windows 2003/SP1

set it up so they only sync when you log off, then you have the option to cancel the sync process. Start:Programs:Accessories:Synchronize--That will help you out ALOT.

There is a group policy setting that allows you to continue to working offline when a slow network is detected. There is an option to enable this, and another to define what a slow network is, so maybe this will help.

We are using Sonicwalls as a site to site vpn tunnel. The problem that iam having is that the laptop opens the file from the network. The users my docs are mapped to their home folder and when a file is opened from the my docs....it does not open locally...just over the vpn.
