Does an ADSL DSLAM supported to have CIR bursting on its configuration?

    hello,

    maybe that is the problem right now - since many ADSL customer want a CIR to their provider. difficult to measure really - since it was an asymm. connection and we have to do a distance measuring to the nearest DSLAM. i think you will go with no CIR for some time.

    Yes,this should be possible to configure.Nothing new,just create a profile on the network side for for the specific customer or groups of customers
    with whatever traffic profile you require.As i only use ATM on DSLAMS i cant tell you a vendor that uses FR, but its exactly the same concept.
    Networking, sometimes i love it, mostly i hate it.Its all about the $$$$
