Is CBK difference to the actual CISSP?
lister
Or is the CBK like Continuing Education? So once you passed CISSP do you have to do CBK every three years to keep your cert?
Is that correct?

I think you are confused. Sounds like you are talking about CPE (Continuing Professional Education.)
To maintain CISSP you will have to:
- Pay an $85 annual maintenance fee
- Minimum of 20 CPE credits per year
- At the end of 3 years CPEs must total 120
The goal is to stay in touch with security trends.

provides further detail.

OK thanks - so it CBK just another way of saying "syllabus contained with CIPPS" - i.e the Common Basic Knowledge is the CONTENT within CISSP?

CBK is "a collection of topics relevant to information security professionals around the world."
So in short, all the topics that an InfoSec professional should know and are testable.

CBK = Common Body of Knowledge. This is the scope of all the information that you should know for the CISSP exam.
Read the
CISSP Candidate Information Bulletin
for more information that you will need to study for the CISSP exam.
