CompTIA Adaptive testing changing?

I read on one other IT message board that CompTia will be changing from Adaptive to Linier (spelling) on or just after Sept 12th.

Anyone have anymore input to this?

The CompTIA A+ exams will change format on September 12th 2003, when CompTIA will be Beta testing questions for the 2003 version of the Core Hardware and Operating Systems exams.

    The exams will beta as:
    220-231 for the Core Hardware
220-232 for the Operating System exam.

Each exam will be a linear (non-adaptive) test of 80 questions.

These exams will still contain the current 2001 objectives, but additional unmarked beta questions.

In November (date to be determined), the full 2003 exams will be introduced
