CompTIA Practice Exam?

Hey guys,

A quick question. I passed the 701 earlier this year and am wanting to finish up A+ very soon with the 702. I enjoyed using the practice exam on CompTIA's website, the one that was set up like a real exam, had a timer, and accurately scored your test with detailed results at the end. Apparently they no longer offer it. When I try now, all that comes up is a rather short , basic assessment that's nowhere near like the previous one. This is disappointing because it helped me greatly. Is it still available to use somehow, or am I outta luck? Why would they change it so drastically?

Just went on and tried it as well...weird that they got rid of the simulation. This because it's the 701/702 and not the 801/802? I didn't even see an option to pick the 801/802.

I was extremely upset a when I took my Sec+ about a week ago and that feature was missing.

I don't know WHY they did it, but they did get rid of their practice tests. And I don't even think the new ones they put up tell you why the right answers are correct. Their old version did tho, which prepared me for the Net+.
    Goals for 2018:
Certs: RHCSA, LFCS: Ubuntu, CNCF CKA, CNCF CKAD | AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect Pro, AWS Certified Security Specialist, GCP Professional Cloud Architect
Learn: Terraform, Kubernetes, Prometheus & Golang | Improve: Docker, Python Programming
    To-do | In Progress | Completed

That totally sucks. So I guess that's that then. Thanks for confirming though. However if someone knows how to get to them somehow, some way, that'd be cool to know too. ;)

You can still get those questions from the original source - MeasureUp.com. CompTIA had some type of agreement with MeasureUp to provide them through the CompTIA site. When they first appeared, they didn't include explanations but many people complained. Later, explanations were included.

100 free questions with full explanations was a great benefit, but I'm sure there was a cost involved. The basic questions you see now are what they have had in the past.

Good luck no matter what you use to help you.

Wow, just got more respect for Measure Up. I might invest in some of their practice exams once I get to the higher-level certs.
Hopefully the prices of those practice exams aren't that much more expensive...

Thanks for that info! I was wondering the same thing actually...why the test wasn't like it used to be.

Hey, thanks! I'd love that actually! However I am unable to send you a private message as the option doesn't appear when I click your name. Would you be able to send it to me via PM? Thanks again. =)
