2610 Router - IOS 12.4

Hello,

I have a 2610 (NON XM) that I purchased a couple of years back, not sure how much Flash/Memory it has but will it run the 12.4 IOS? - i'm hearing this is the version of the IOS on the exam. Or do I need to purchase more Flash/Memory to get this to load up via TFTP.

    From what I have been told non-XM 2600s are not capable of running 12.4

    Correct. The 2610 doesn't allow for upgrades to the Ram/flash that are needed for 12.4 to physically fit on the router and didn't come with enough from the factory. You can still use the router as part of a lab as it's still useful but it can't do everything.

    Looks like I'll be getting a 2800 then, not that its a bad thing icon_cheers.gif just have to convince wife that I need it.
