For those that may be interested, ISACA has a new certification for IT governance: the Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) Certification.

    Sharing My CGEIT Journey

    I used the ISACA Review Manual and used the Google to reinforce concepts. I also used the training slide by Bill Pankey From Tunitas.

    The exam is a lot more about what you would do under certain situation. Which i think is about decision making. Which is good, because things didn't need to be as memorized

    I finished in 3 hours and 30 minutes, 15 minutes to look over some questions.
    Change few answers.

    Timeline :
    Exam Taken in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur: December 8, 2012 @ 9 AM (Saturday) +8GMT
    Results Received from ISACA: 1st Frebruary , 2013 @ 5:22 AM (Friday) +8GMT
    Pass or Fail: Passed !!!!!!!!!!
    Application For Certification Sent in: February 4, 2013
    Application For Certification Received BY ISACA : February 5, 2013
    Certification Notice Received: February 12 2013
    Paper Certificate Received :

    Preparation For CGEIT (60 Days)

    26 September 2012 Register For Exam
    Get the CGEIT REview Manual From Colleague
    Study the manual and make my own notes by refering to otehr material in ISACA and Google
    8 November 2012 complete study and notes for first round
    Revise note and weakness area
    Read Tunitas training slide
    Read CIO articles on Governance
    Continue revision on notes and CIO articles till last day of exam.
