I got a interview at Tigerdirect/CompUSA on thursday (2 days). If i get the job would you all consider that getting my foot in the door?
What should i do to prepare for interview
Edit: Job title is :
A+ Computer Technician P/T
Edit2: what do you all think the estimated pay would be?

If you're doing hardware/software support for customers, that's helpdesk. Maybe not as valuable as a true corporate helpdesk, but definitely a foot in the door.
If it's just a general CSR position, it is at least resume-worthy, but not really a foot in the door. -

I'm assuming the P/T means part time, so hourly wage will probably be $8-11 an hour starting in the Chicago area. Since you have a few certs you'll probably start a little higher, maybe around $10/hr. -

If rather email -
OptionsIristheangel Mod Posts: 4,133 ModCall or email saying that you would like to thank them for the opportunity to interview. They should tell you a status or say they didn't choose you. If they didn't choose you, politely thank them and ask them to keep you in mind for future positions.

If you have already sent a thank you, i would wait a week and then follow up. but as recommended, keep applying for other jobs. Who knows maybe you will end up in a situation with two offers which puts you in a great negotiating position.
