quick question

I've started studying for my MCP (70-270) for the simple fact that i've been using it since it came out but I want to stay on the networking side of the house with CCNA and all those good things. does it make any sense to get my MCP or not?

It definitely can't hurt. Remember, not being able to connect across a WAN is often times a client side problem instead of network issues. So hit your Cisco stuff heavy if that's where you want to be, but supplement it with LAN stuff (i.e MCP, MCSE...etc) -

Yeah, I agree. And since it's currently the most popular client OS, it will look good even with a CCIE.
