calculating permissions on pen and paper.

I remember way back in a class I took an easy way to write permissions out on paper (say for during a test) and calculate effective permissions. I seem to have forgotten this little trick, any one else know of a way to do this?

wow...try in your head? it's extremely easy if you understand permissions.

I agree. This is nothing something to memorize, but understand, and than you won't have to write down anything. Just make up and try different combinations. Also check this topic:
