Feeling the Juniper Bug :)

So long story short. I work for a company that "supports" customers :) We all know how that is but any who, most customers networks are Cisco based and they integrate with the product my company has for "Web Filtering/Proxying", if that does not narrow it down :). I deal with A LOT of Linux day in and day out as well as a lot of Cisco for PBR, WCCP, tracking down network latency, etc. So I started getting intrigued about Juniper because my companies core network is all Juniper. Well sad to say I have been playing around with a few Olives I built for the last week and I think I am hooked. Since it is so *NIX based it has been pulling me in to want to find out more. :)

I have convinced myself today to learn for the JCNIA in the next 4 weeks and then move on to the Specialist. I think today is the first time I could not wait for the weekend so I can spend the time studying and learning :O

Just had to share and thanks for the help you guys give us noobs starting in the Dark Side . . . . .

I've decided to go for CCNP before I start any specialization (Leaning more so Security over Voice) but after CCNP I will be working on some Juniper certs to be well rounded.

Love to hear things like this. You'll never regret it and I can honestly say that learning Juniper, and acquiring the Juniper Certs has change my career for the better 100x over. :)

That you for the encouragement. It definitely is a different world but one that I feel is both lacking of skilled people in the IT community as well as it has an ability to draw you in :)
