General Newbie Security+ Questions

Hello all,
I just joined up to ask a few general questions about the Security+ exam. I need it for an entry level position I recently secured and was told I have some time to get the Security+ after I start. I purchased Darril Gibson's study guide after hearing it recommended by a friend. I have just obtained my bachelor's degree in IT and concentrated in security, after glancing over the book, many areas it covers I am very familiar with from courses I have taken. My question is: given my background in security and some-what familiarity with the material, will studying this book only be enough for me to pass this exam in about one month's time? I know there is no real way to answer this, but for those who are familiar with the exam's difficulty, your insight is appreciated.

I did Security+ in about 3 months just reading the book and I didn't have the bachelor's degree in IT.
I'm sure you can do it in one month. Go for it.
The Security material is fun stuff.

I agree. The Sec+ material was definitely fun. And the awesome DG book really helped.

I completed mine in 3 weeks. However, 1 entire week of those 3 was pretty much devoted to studying from sun up to sun down.
Hurricane Sandy took down all power and pretty much closed down the state of NJ. Couldn't do anything. Couldn't do anything. So I'd study from when I woke up to whenever it was too dark to read. Probably got a good 6-8 hours in each day that week.

Still, I didn't have the degree or know most of the material before hand. I'm sure you could get the cert done in a similar time period w/ less time invested.
