Should I get it?

I am on the WGU - IT security degree plan. I have gotten A+, Security+, CCENT, and now im workin on CCNA. Should I just go ahead and pay out of pocket to take Network+ or is it even worth it. I'm pretty sure i could just buy a voucher and go take the exam without studying. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks,

I think Network+ is more of an entry level. With the CCENT going onto CCNA I think its not needed. Though I am not as seasoned as a lot of these guys its only my 2 cents.

No need to go backwards - especially for $300.
If you want to "get them all," maybe pay of out pocket to get a MS cert instead.
    Goals for 2018:
Certs: RHCSA, LFCS: Ubuntu, CNCF CKA, CNCF CKAD | AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect Pro, AWS Certified Security Specialist, GCP Professional Cloud Architect
Learn: Terraform, Kubernetes, Prometheus & Golang | Improve: Docker, Python Programming
    To-do | In Progress | Completed

Thats kind of what im thinking save the money and put it towards maybe CWNA. I would definently have to study for that cert. I dont know all there is to know about wireless and it might help me out later on down the road

    Sounds like a plan.

If the Net+ REALLY interests you - buy the Exam Cram for Net+ and scan thru it. It might teach you some terminology and concepts above the CCENT level, but by the time you get your CCNA it probably won't really teach you anything new. And then paying for the exam would probably have little to no benefit to you by that point.

But the CWNA probably would be cool to get.

    Good luck!

There is absolutely no point in Network+ if you're going to get a CCNA

I did my N+ before any cisco exams, and I enjoyed it. For example, in the N+ exam, I actually didn't get a single question on subnetting, but I learned a whole lot about physical aspects of networking that I otherwise would not have gotten had I gone all Cisco. Different cable standards, crimping cables correctly, legacy equipment and why they are no longer viable, etc. For me N+ was a great introduction to networking.
