(ISC)^2 Certification & Accreditation Professional (CAP)

Anyone know someone whose is looking to obtain the new CAP certification from (ISC)^2? Any opinions on it yet?

JD I have the review seminar material for this, however, I've not even unpackaged it yet. When I have time (after this CWNP mission) I will take a look at it and let you know what I think.

It must fill a need that the CISSP and SSCP don't. I'd like to know what the simple explanation of CAP is. No hurry.

When I was in Virginia last month at ISC2 it was explained to me that CAP fills an area of speciality that requires very deep knowledge of certification and accrediation processes, however it doesn't require the breath of knowledge required for the CISSP. It's too specialized and complex of a knowledge area to be considered entry level or even "low" level, therefore it couldn't be classed with the likes of SSCP for example. I was also told that in the initial conversations when CAP was still being developed they thought of presenting it as a concentration i.e. CISSP-CAP. But again, the breath of knowledge required for CISSP killed that idea since one has to be a CISSP in good standing to gain a concentration.
