Centos + Virtualbox problem!

This is driving me crazy!

I'm running CentOS 6.4 on VirtualBox 4.2.12...

everything was running fine, I installed Guest additions and everything..upgraded the system (yum update..).etc

everything is smooth

but then all of a sudden, when I'm logged in, I can't type properly, I need to keep the key pressed to type like if I want to type "ls" I need to keep the "l" pressed for 2 seconds then I need to keep the "s" pressed.

This is strange because when I'm trying to login and type the password, it's working fine, but the moment I'm trying to type anything in the terminal it behaves like this!

ِAlso, if I go to single user mod or to text mode, I can type properly, so the problem is with GNOME session once I'm logged in

I have other VMs running (Solaris, RHEL6, ...etc), and this is the only machine that's giving me this problem.

Any clues?

honestly I don't know what's going on, I added another user and logged in using that user and I can type properly now. I checked /etc/sysconfig/keyboard and everything is identical...

Tried toggling the shell (from bash to something else then back to bash? ) for the problematic user?
I've notice some oddities with virtualization, it's more frustrating with Virtualbox or kvm (obviously the ones that you don't pay for a support contract for...)

I just did, the problem is still happening with that particular user. It's not a shell problem, because anything I try to type even in the GUI itself I get the same issue. I tried to type in a gedit text editor, still the same. The moment I switch user, the problem is gone.

I installed the guest additions using that user. I don't know, I wasted a lot of times on this..now I'm working fine using the new user I just created. Weird.

Maybe a dumb suggestion. Did that user have sticky keys enabled? That one has annoyed me before.

Not a dumb suggestion, I don't know what sticky keys is, I just googled that. Unfortunately it's too late now because I just deleted the user and created it again, now it's all good. It could be the sticky keys, I'll never know
