Key design characteristics of IGRP

Hi All
I wish u r in very good health.I am studying now IGRP and read in the CCNA material about the key design characteristics of IGRP which is:

1) The versatility to automatically handle indefinite, complex topologies
2) The flexibility needed to segment with different bandwidth and delay characteristics
3) Scalability for functioning in very large networks

I couldn't understand the three points well.could u please explain to me what meant by them ????

The above points are basically Cisco techno-marketing-speak for why Cisco's proprietary IGRP is better than RIP. They all boil down to the fact that the IGRP metric is not a finite hop count. They are also a perfect example of a Cisco "choose 3" exam question...
