Business card advice...

Macpro76Macpro76 Member Posts: 79 ■■□□□□□□□□
I have recently started an IT consulting firm. I am working on my business card. I am having a problem on how to properly display all my Certifications.
  • CompTIA A+, network+, server+, security+, Health Care IT, Green IT
  • MTA server, network, security, OS
  • Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT)
  • Apple Certified Support Professional v10.8 (ACSP)
  • Mac Integration v10.7 & v10.8
I have been told to place them on the back side of the business card. What do you guys/gals think?
Here is my design so far. Front and back. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanx.

Here are mine. That's my wife holding them. I went with a uber simple design. They are slightly different now i.e. printed on plastic with rounded corners and MA has dots between it. I just felt less is more. Not sure if that approach can be taken with yours but just wanted to throw it out.

    curtisc83,

Here is what I did with the front and back sides. I removed the MCP and ACSP from the front to clear it up. Think this might work. what do you think?

I was thinking about that. Maybe just take the llc out? But, I think I need to set up a DBA for the Veeria Consulting, llc and call it just Veeria Consulting. I will check on monday with Sec. of STate for CT.

Lots of things on that card. Not sure if someone's eyes will glaze over when reading it or not. My card is opposite of yours so I'm pretty sure my advice might not fit your card criteria. I was wondering why the LinkedIn logo but no URL for LinkedIn on the card?

I have never seen a url for linkedin on a card, just a logo.
I guess we are just supposed to do a search for it?

I put a LinkedIn URL on the back of my card so I could offload stuff onto LinkedIn instead of having it my card. I'm not a consultant so putting everything on a card might be the way to go.

No keep the LLC it looks more professional that way and just caps it. Also, on a card i got from someone there was a QR code that linked to his linkedin profile. The card didn't say what the QR code was for at all it just sat there in the corner and unless you were a nerd you probably wouldn't have even known what it was. But i knew what it was and i HAD to scan it. It was impossible to resist.

Kind of cheesy i guess but i thought it was neat and i still remember that card to this day.

I had created business cards for hotels I own. Some know what it is the others done. I linked it to a 15% discount page I created on our website.
Some people got it, others didnt. Over all, I dont think people are ready for QR codes. not main street yet. plus you have to have an app.

I have wondered how well a card would turn out with my name and title on the front and JUST a QR code on the back. I think it would have a very modern vibe. But my target audience might not get it so I never made one. Still want to thou.

My card has my contact information with the MCP logo, Google Play badge and a QR code for my website and LinkedIn. They're both titled of course.
