That's taking the p** // Exchange SP3 install-time

CAS and MB role took 1.5hrs each - so thats 17hrs Exchange downtime ....

That's my own one so that isn't an issue, but I'd be scared to do that in production ....

Interesting enough, elapsed time says 2hrs something, but total is 14+hrs at this stage .

I had a round of SP3 installs recently that weren't too bad, but I had an SP2 install back in the fall that took about 4 hours per CAS/HT server. The servers were load balanced so there was no outage, but that was a long night with already late maintenance window that was 2 timezones behind me.

It looks like a lot of people have similar issues with Security Essentials installed - which I have on this single box too.

Unfortunately you cannot disable it - which is quite painful ...

But yes, in proper environments you'd have DAGs and loadbalanced CAS' ...
