Racing against the clock...

Hi all.

I've been studying up on the old materials for the ICND1 test, which I plan to take in the next week or so. I've been aiming for the old test since those are the books and materials I have to study with.

The plan is to continue cramming (more like reviewing, given my networking background), for ICND2, with the intent of taking that test mid-August. Any issues or problems with the test change over, or will my CCNA be valid at that point to continue on for CCNP later this year? I haven't seen any; just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

Doesn't the material from the old books carry over to the new ones?

For the most part, though some of the material from the old ICND2 is being pushed into the new INCD1.

Yes, assuming you take the old tests before the deadline and pass them, your CCNA cert will be valid for 3 years, regardless of the changes to the exams.
