    Just got the CRISC email. PASSED!!!!

    June exam. Location is in the US and the email time is 1541hrs.

    Resources:

    2013 Review manual
    Online DB
    Many moons of experience

    Total study about 12 hours. Read the Theory part of the review manual 2x (first 200 pages or so) and about 6 hours on the online DB.

    Passed CGEIT lol... 450 exactly.

    good enough as I didnt receive my review manual until after the exam. read few pages from cobit and ValIT.
    what pulled me up was government and risk management, both in which are part of my job function.

    GL to the rest, time to fill up that application and read more on my final ISACA's cert (for me) : CISA

    Passed my CRISC.

    "We are pleased to inform you that you successfully PASSED the exam with a total scaled score of 605. Your score was in the top 10 percent of those testing"

    Well, they didn't actually say that I was good looking, but I could imply it from the email.

    I'm hoping to complete my application and send it in tomorrow!

    CRISC Application...

    Anybody hear back from ISACA yet?

    I submitted my application on the 24th and received confirmation on the 26th. It should be this week if the two week turnaround standard holds up. I think there is a 75% chance by Friday. I can only hope!

    I'm just now ending week 3 on my CISM application and heading into week 4. I saw a couple of people have already received their designation who applied the day after me. Not sure how they do these internally, I thought that historically attaching a CISSP cert would help speed up the process. That apparently does not hold true.

    So, I guess they'll get to it when they get to it.

    I did just pass my SANS GLEG today though.

    Congrats on the GLEG pass. I took that last year I think... Weird test... What did you think of it?

    Did you do the On-Demand or take the course with Ben?

    I thought it was a little strange as well. The practice tests did not prepare you for the esoteric nature of the real certification exam. I did fine, was out in an hour, but was a little unhappy with the exam itself.

    I took it at SANS Fire in DC in June with Ben. I liked him, the course and discussion was good, but that's a lot of time to have someone talking to you without hands on labs!

    I did SANS in Vegas last year and the test in OCT. Sorry had a senior moment and could not remember when I took it. The old 386 takes time to spin up sometimes. ;)

    I'm a few days behind you as I only submitted my application August 1. My status did change to Unreviewed. I assume that everyone moved one step forward today.

    Do you have any other ISACA certifications? I wonder if that can help expedite the process.

    No, this is the first one I have earned from ISACA. I think it all a timing and batch processing thing.

    My process so far has looked something like this

    Exam Pass Notification: July 12
    Application Sent: July 16
    Application Acknowledged: July 17
    Application Status change (Unreviewed to Complete - Under Review): August 1

    And still waiting for the final notice.

    Should be in next week then. I feel bad for the CISA/CISM guys. It is taking forever for them. But then again they had a higher volume of test takers.

    A couple of days ago, my CISA application finally went from "Application Submitted" to "Complete - Under Review". I submitted on 7/22.
