  I just looked through the 70-410 book and subnetting is only 1 page of a 400 page book. So don't expect too many questions on it, from past experience Microsoft tends to give you a scenario which doesn't work because a host/server is on the wrong subnet and the question is not asked in the same way the website you linked to asks you. No harm in knowing how to do it in your head, it could be useful if you ever do Cisco exams.

  That's a relief to know. I had a heck of a time learning subnetting for the Network+ exam only to learn after the exam that I overstudied and didn't need really to know subnetting as well as the Network+ books that I got from my library lead me to belief. I spent a week practicing converting hexadecimal to binary, binary to decimal, decimal to hexidecimal, converting subnet masks from decimal to binary or decimal to hexidecimal, blah!!!!!

  Subnetting is more of a CISCO deal. With MS, you can expect more questions on how to apply IP addressing Schemes, for categories such as DHCP, DNS, Printers, Servers, etc...
