Cisco certified wanting Juniper certs

in General Certification
I'm currently certified with my CCENT and studying for the second part of the CCNA(I'm taking the exam on the 30th of this month). I'm just wondering would it be a totally different language taking the Juniper certs?

    The implementation is different, but the underlying protocols are mostly standards based so it's not completely foreign. The first thing I would suggest you checking out is the Junos as a Second Language CBT.

    If found viewing the running config strange because it looked like C and C++ object programming structure.

    It looks strange, but is extremely intuitive once you get used to it. I hated JUNOS at first, but every once in a while I'm in IOS and wishing it was JUNOS.

    I eel the same about Alcatel-Lucent configs. Love their structure and MPLS L2VPNs and L3VPNs make so much more sense!

    powmia surely knows that and has likely configured an SR7750 or two. ;)

    One of these days, they'll invest more in their certification program, and make it as straightforward as Cisco, Juniper, or Brocade. Although, one silver lining of their program, is they give you credit for Cisco certifications.

    I work with ALU Sam Server, 7705 SAR-F/SAR-8 and 7750s all the time. Also work with ALU BTS/RNC equipment. Good to hear there are others on here who have as well.
