What started in 2010, when my kids started school for the first time, made me go to school again, with me going into the associate degree program at the local college for the networking specialist program finally concluded yesterday, completing this particular endeavor which was to finally obtain CCNA. Those that may have followed my previous threads,
Network Academy Done, One Semester to Go, and
Breaking the ICE, will remember this took me a long time.
It's great to say, today, I actually have NOTHING to study. Its time to recharge my mind, and be more hands on, and less reading and studying in order to pass some test. I will of course move on to other certifications in time, but for now, I'm just working, coaching, and living life. It's just been a long ride, and you mix in non-networking classes for a guy that was never really a 'school guy' like the college algebra, and macroeconomics, and its a blessing my wife and I are still together!!
So, good luck to all that are working on the tests, and congrats to all that have passed. The deadline is coming end of month so I really wanted to get ICND2 done before it changed.
Now, after I rest, I wonder what will be next? Voice? Security? Wireless for CCNA? We'll read up and see how it goes when its time to start hitting it again.
Does anyone have any suggestions for books I can add to my tablet for reading that aren't geared toward passing a test, but more along the lines of real life networking that a CCNA might have interest in reading?
