Good time for completing the core section on the Lab Exams?

I would like to know how much time is good for completing the Core section of the lab exam? When I say core, I mean Frame-Relay, Lan Switching, OSPF, EIGRP and RIP. I think it called the golden moment.

Difficult to say but I would say you need to be finished at least with L2 before lunch. Otherwise you will be crunching for time. In my passing attempt I was done with L3 before lunch. I was well ahead of schedule then.

You should verify as you go but you should have about 1h extra for review at the end. You'll definitely will find some mistakes you will have done.

As a CCIE R&S, the L2 and L3 stuff should be your strongest skill set and come as second nature. After lunch you should be able to come back to a working base L2/L3 IPv4 topology and just focus on the add-on technologies.

So after lunch you have 3 hours left?

So that mean that it is good to finish he core in 2 hours? since the test is 8 - 2 hours from the TS session and 6 hours of the configuration session.

You can't say for sure because you have no idea how much work will be involved with your "core". Plus it depends on how much time you carry over from troubleshooting. People also say finishing that first section in an hour is a good sign. So if you spend another 30 doing verification, carrying over 30 minutes to config will certainly help you meet that mark. I wasn't quite done L3 before lunch, but I had knocked a lot of it out. It's probably a good sign if you're done around that time though.
