2014 I will hopefully finish my 70-640 exam, then I want to do Itil foundation, network+, then 70-642 and then CCNA... before completing my MCSA server 2008.... Seems unorthodox... but fingers crossed.

MCSE 2012. Wasn't really on the schedule but since I was basically handed the AD infrastructure at my new job I guess it makes sense

My goal is to achieve the MCSA:2008 and then complete the update exam for Server 2012. After that I'd like to get some Exchange knowledge and pass the MCSE: Messaging. If I have that then I will have certifications for basically everything I do at my current job so I will be free to do what I really want and get into the Cisco side. Honestly though if I have the MSCE by the end of 2014 then I'll be satisfied.

It's funny, I was just thinking a few days ago I should see if there was a 2014 goals thread.

    Let's see. . .
    For me, it'll probably be--
    1. Advanced MySQL certs
    2. Advanced Java certs
    3. I'd like to certify on Perl (yes, via CIW, stop groaning)
    4. Maybe some Hadoop

Some related to the above that could remotely happen--
Crystal Reports and/or Business Objects certs.

Something else that might be looming:
    1. IT Governance certs (e.g. CGEIT, COBIT)

Things I should consider certifying on but probably won't get to:
    1. Virtualization, notably Xenserver in my case
    2. SANs
    3. Data Center architecture
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

    MCSE 2012
    CCNA (maybe :S?)
    VCP

I'm really looking forward to CCNA, even though I don't really do much with networking...

    I'm going for

ACE, CFPS, CMIIB, CMIIC, MCITP, CWTS, CWNT, RHCA, MLCE, JNCP, CGEIT, CLA, LPIC-1, LPIC-2, CEH, ECSA, LPT, OSWP, OSCP, OSWE, CISSP, RHCSA, RHCE, CWNA, CWSP, CWDP, CHFI.
    Modularity and Design Simplicity:

Think of the 2:00 a.m. test—if you were awakened in the
middle of the night because of a network problem and had to figure out the
traffic flows in your network while you were half asleep, could you do it?

Finish off my MCSE: Private Cloud if I cant fit it into this year (unlikely). Perhaps another VCAP. MUST work on PowerShell scripting.

@RouteMyPacket - that list really? or is it sarcasm!! icon_wink.gif

My goal is to pass 640-911 or 200-101 before 1/24/14 otherwise my CCENT expires. Maybe I should just schedule a test so I have to take it...

Edit: Maybe I should also fix my pearson vue account so I can actually login

I'm hoping to complete the MCSD SharePoint 2013 (I'm halfway there) and then upgrade to MCSA 2012 and then MCSE SharePoint 2013.

Then it will likely be an upgrade of my MCSD Web Apps to V. next. But I might try to complete the requirements for MCSD Windows Store Apps just for fun. It has been hinted that I might be roped into the Android dev project that is getting started here, so that might take some time out of my cert plans.

    Definitely:
    MCSA: Windows 8 upgrade exam (70-689) - early 2014
    MCSA: Server 2012 (70-410 + 70-411 + 70-412) - late 2013 to early 2014
    MCSE: Server 2012 Server Infrastructure (70-413 + 70-414) - by mid 2014

Maybe one of these after the others are completed:
VMware VCAP-DCA (at least get the knowledge of this even if I don't take the exam)
    MCSE: Exchange 2013 (70-341 + 70-342)
Renew CCENT while doing the new CCNA

@lsud00d - I guess that's because these upgrade exams are a beast and the individual ones are easier to tackle.

I did not think the upgrade exam that I took was that much of a "beast". I just read the green MS press book for it, read a few technets, played around with it some, wrote exam and passed. YMMV.. It is only on the differences, but then again you get a bunch ofMCTS' with that route too..

I have taken the 2008 upgrade exam and felt I didn't relearn enough, I passed with practically no study so there are technologies which I haven't gone over with in years. Plus I'm not working with a health problem at the moment, so I have the time to relearn those technologies and sharpen my skills which otherwise I might not have the luxury of time for. I should be able to dedicate a lot of hours to it so it probably won't take that long to do it the long way around.
