Anyone familiar with Tech Mahindra?

I have an interview next week in the Atlanta area, with Tech Mahindra for an entry level software engineer position. From my research online the company seems to have mixed reviews. Most say it is a good place to start your career; but not someplace to stay long term. I was wondering if anyone here has ever worked for them, or has any experience with them. Thanks for any input!

The office is actually in Alpharetta near North Point Mall. They are based out of India, a 2.7 billion dollar company with offices worldwide. Thanks for the good wishes!

Interesting... I didn't realize that Tech Mahindra was on-shoring in the US as well. I suppose that makes sense.

@OP - Tech Mahindra is one of the biggest global IT out-sourcing companies. I think they are even bigger than Tata Consultants and Satyam. My only experience with them is to explore their services but I've never used them.

Had the interview today. Third day of interviewing, they said they are looking to hire about 20 entry level engineers. I was in a group of about 15 candidates, they said Bachelor's degree or higher was needed. I will be completing my degree from WGU in about 3-4 months so I stuck around just to see how it would go. They gave a logic test first to weed people out. About 9 or 10 of us passed. After my interview with the Technical Director, the HR guy pulled me aside and told me that since I didn't have my degree yet he couldn't consider me for this position. But, they liked my resume, certifications(thanks WGU), and interview skills so much they wanted to offer me an "experienced"(vs entry level) position and to give them a couple of days to find a position suitable for me. They are supposed to call me on Monday with the offer which they said would pay substantially more than the entry level software engineer position I applied for. Must have been my lucky day!

I hope it works out for you. I find it a little sad that they wouldn't even consider you for the first position because you don't have a degree. Basing a job off of a hard requirement such as that has always made me grind my teeth. The fact that a company would rather hire candidate X with a 4 year degree, who may be less qualified otherwise, over candidate Y without said degree, who may fit the role perfectly. This is probably only 1 of 2 reasons I am going for my BS right now. Shame it has to be that way.

In this case, however, it may be in your benefit.

More proof that people should be applying to jobs that have a degree requirement, whether or not the applicant has one.

I applied to a position that wanted a BS in IS and blew away the IT manager with the fact that I knew what OUs were and how to create and link GPOs. He was wondering why someone with no college degree knew more about Windows Server than a person with a degree in Information Systems. I told him, "Well, I worked as a Jr System Administrator for about a year as an Intern. I learned quite a lot and it really helped me grow more confident in my abilities and soft skills." He didn't even read my resume apparently because I didn't list a Degree in IS under education but had to interview me because they have to interview 5 candidates for every open position and only five resumes were sent in. The HR person didn't hire me because I didn't have the "Minimum Requirements" but called me back three months later asking me if I was still interested, I told her that I had taken a job elsewhere but thank you for thinking of me. (I didn't tell her that the other company offered more...)
