EVN in production networks

Have you guys seen it in production networks? What is your opinion on its current stability? Do you foresee it becoming more popular?

Thanks

Never seen it actually used before. We used to use GREs terminated in VRF lite to provide end to end separation for some of our customers but we decided to just use MPLS VPN to scale out better. I guess EVN is a nice middle ground between the two?

We did the same when I was working for DoD but did not use MPLS as it was unnecessary with pure ethernet everywhere. EVN seems more like an easier way to do L3 Vrf Lite or VPLS. So I don't know if anyone actually uses it. It was presented at last Cisco Live.

I haven't used it in production, but seems like something that would be good for a very small network. Once you start to scale to large numbers of virtual networks it would seem MPLS would be a much easier solution. Definitely could see it having some practical implementations.
