Are both the 801 and 802 exams going to include performance based questions? If so, where is a study guide I can use to get a grasp of this type of material?
Yes both A+ exams include performance based questions in fact you will find most of the CompTIA exams include performance based questions, performance based question are hands on based questions so in my own opinion i think you can get prepared for them by practicing what you will be reading in your study guide on any computer that you can experiment on, just familiarize yourself with the peripherals inside your PC brake and fix what you can but this is not recommended for a PC that you use for your daily tasks.
The similuations are for the most part straight foward. If you know the material it will be evident on the actions you need to perform. I would recomend skipping them until the end becuase I found that some of the sims were buggy and it caused me to restart them multiple times which in turn caused me to rush through the multiple choice which is the bulk of the exam.
