Cwts - pw0-071

Hi all,

New poster here, been doing certs for a while though.

I've got a pretty good handle on wireless stuff but obviously looking to improve and learn more, was hoping to tackle the CWTS exam and look at CWNA sometime next year.

Was wondering if anyone had any experience with the most recent CWTS exam and the associated study guide.
(CWTS: Certified Wireless Technology Specialist Official Study Guide: (PW0-071): Robert J. Bartz: 9781118359112: Amazon.com: Books)

Is it alone sufficient for passing the exam combined with study and experience? If not, would you recommend another source?

Thanks,

I have been studying for this, but I haven't taken the exam yet... seems pretty easy so far though

That book should be all you need. I used that and the practice tests from cwnp, which you can get free if you sign up for an account. I easily passed.

I sat the PW0-070 last year. There are a few minor changes in the PW0-071.

My experience of the exam was brilliant. I scored 91% which is certainly one of my highest in any vendor exam.

The Sybex book is pretty much all you need for a studying guide. I would also recommend purchasing the practice questions on the CWNP site.

    Good luck!

I passed using the official Sybex guide. Normally, I shy away from official guides since they tend to be far too dry to read. However, the Sybex one was all I used and I passed.
