Passed 70-412!!!

Sat for the 412 today. Felt pretty confident going through the exam. Got 790/1000.

Used CBT Nuggets and Pluralsight videos.

Just to reassure everyone even though the R2 material was confirmed for the 28th, I did not see any R2 material. Now I can sport that MCSA title!

    Congrats! icon_thumright.gif

How long did it take you to complete all three exams? Did you have any work experience?

    Thanks!

I have the basic helpdesk/junior admin experience (Configuring objects in AD, Creating mailboxes, very light ADSI Edit experience, DHCP and DNS experience, Checking Share permissions for network resources, configuring network printing, checking Event Viewer, Basic Hyper V stuff).

It took me about 6 months to finish all 3 exams. It could've been quicker if I wasn't so busy with other things. I think these can easily be done within 90 days.

Nice one! I'm just starting, got my 410 exam next week. Whats the 413 one then?

The 70-413 is one of the 2 exams after the 410, 411, and 412 trio to get MCSE. The other exam is the 70-414. The exam is Designing and Implementing a Server Infrastructure. The first 3 MCSA exams are geared towards Small to Medium business and the 413 and 414 are more for Enterprise level.

With the 70-413 it focuses less on setting up and configuring single features and more of designing company wide strategies and solutions.

Congrats Thegg. I am hoping to do the 413 by the end of February leaving me some time to get 414 in before April. I am sure that we will talk some more.

Thanks MSSoftie. I scheduled my 70-413 for Jan 28th. I feel 2 weeks should be adequate for study time. Especially with a free 2nd shot.

Good for you. I have vacation at the end of February so I may move mine up to mid Feb. I have been having a lot of training at work lately so I just don't think I will be able to do it before then. Good luck to you. I may very well be catching up to you soon. :)

Ah thanks, why does it matter to do it before April? I probably wont finish my MCSA till about May, can I still do 413/414 after?
