I got a score of 594. Most questions are Linux, Unix, Mac OS & Novell. A couple of port# questions..and a lot of troubleshooting!! Any suggestion what should be the next cert? CCNA? I have A+/N+, I heard that you can shift it to MSCA? Please advise.

Where to go next depends on what you want to do. Yes, you can use the A+/Net+ combo as an elective towards MCSA.i remain, he who remains to be.... -

For MCSA 2003, you would need 70-270, 290, 291 and an elective, which can be MS exchange or SQL server or one of the many other MS exams, but you can also use A+ and Network+ combined as the elective. -
Optionsigor_yuri Member Posts: 12 ■□□□□□□□□□Thanks guys! MCSA sounds good but actually I haven't tried to setup from a Server from the scratch. I'm more interested in networking like Cisco CCNA.

Optionskevozz Member Posts: 305 ■■■□□□□□□□Did you use the Mike Meyers for the network+ also or only for the A+? Did those resources cover most of the material? Did you use anything else? I need to knock the network+ test out in the next week or two.
Thanks -
OptionsBadger95 Member Posts: 65 ■■□□□□□□□□This is a direct quote from Cisco web page. This doesn’t sound so bad. This is basically the same as some institutions that require continuing education credit to show that your keeping up.
I would personally take one of the 642 level Specialist exams to build up the résumé and still keep the CCNA current.

CCNA Recertification
CCNA certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, either pass the current CCNA exam, or pass the ICND exam, or pass any 642 professional level or Cisco Qualified Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a CCIE written exam on or after October 1, 2004.
I have some CompTia and Micrsoft certifications, CCNA is going to be my next one to round off my skill sets.Badger

Optionsigor_yuri Member Posts: 12 ■□□□□□□□□□Questions:
1. 640-801 CCNA
OR
2. 640-821 INTRO
640-811 ICND
What's the difference between -801? -821? Please advise. Thanks! -
OptionsBadger95 Member Posts: 65 ■■□□□□□□□□For the first time you certify, It depends on what you want to do. Taking 640-801 is the same as taking both 40-821 INTRO and 640-811 ICND. The second option is just spliting the 640-801 in to 2 parts. Personaly I perfer to take the test once. As far as recert goes, I would post in the CCNA section and ask some of those folks. I'm not CCNA yet and can not give any more detail other than what I read.
The cisco site explains the tests and what is requried.Badger
