Yet another resume critique request

Recently passed my CCNA after ending a contract position and I'm applying again - this time looking for a position that I can hold for a longer period of time.

Aiming primarily for Cisco networking experience in NYC, although may settle for help desk/desktop support that pays well enough and provides opportunity for hands-on Cisco or MS Server experience.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I got my resume down to a single page. However, in the copy I'm uploading the 2nd page includes additional experience. Debating whether I should include it or not. Including it would spill everything onto a 2nd page and allow me to elaborate more. But not too sure if that is needed.

I also haven't finished my degree. Wondering what the best way of indicating that is.

Here's another resume format I'm considering. Slightly different information and 2 pages. More white space. More scannable.

First off, congrats on your CCNA. A few things I would do, going down the (first) resume:

1. Remove linkedin url, if they really wanted to, they could find you.
2. Center your name, address, etc.
3. In Professional Summary I would put CCNA Certified IT Professional with " " years experience, in the financial/academic, etc. field. You should leave out words that describe characteristics such as driven, passionate (you can leave that for the interview) the reason for this is that if I'm a company I want to know that you're going to the hit the ground running, you have experience and knowledge already.
4. In the Core Competencies section I would leave out high proficiency, excellent oral and written skills, etc. I would also change networking to 'experienced in utilizing such protocols such as: "
5. It seems like you are working towards your bachelors degree you can write that as: Bachelor of Science: Information... Expected: May 2014 (for example) and delete credits completed.
6. I wouldn't put the freelance experience, then it would a clean 1 page.

Overall good resume well written, and good luck, hope my two cents help.

Thanks danny. I removed the linked in url and centered the contact info header. I'll drop the freelance experience and keep the resume at 1 page. In core competencies I'll also drop the line about communication and customer service. (Maybe replace it with the list of hardware from the 2nd resume format?) I'll also try to figure out how to word my professional summary better w/o using character descriptive words, but that's going to take more time.

As far as degree, I do plan on finishing it. But I'm not taking classes now. Therefore, I don't actually have an expected date. But if I had to guess, I'd say 2015. Should I still put that?

Yes you definitely want to put 2015 and important to be honest.
