quick help for test tomorrow

i am not that good on the processors' cache and bus speed, i know the sockets and pins but not that much more. so what i am asking how much of those type of questions appear on the test . and since im asking what about the f-keys for boot up cant get those straight either. always just used f8. Any info anyone has would be great and please wish me luck.

    I would wait if I wasn't prepared, but that's me.

    It is impossible to say what will appear on your exam or even what percentage of CPU questions vs. Printer questions....no one knows this. Also, since every candidates pool of questions varies it doesn't serve much benefit to the next candidate to know how much someone else had.

    Some people have commented (over the years) of seeing 10-15 CPU questions, while other have not received any.

    You'll likley have to wait until tomorrow and hope that your exam covers your strengths.

    Again, if you don't know the F-Keys, then I really question why you have schedule your exam for tomorrow. It only takes a few times of using these keys to get them down. This is why the exam is geared toward a candidate WITH experience and not one fresh from a tech school or another job looking to change industries.

    Now that doesn't mean someone with no experience or very limited experience cannot take the exam, but with real work experience in a computer store/shop generally after 6 months time one sees a fair amount of problems with a variety of OSs and era of PC. Boot Errors, missing .dll, various printers, driver issues, Drive structures, etc... are things that generally turn up in a shop. There is also the general board swapper stuff where many newbies start before they really get to put their hands on troubleshooting.

    Since it is likley too late to get the experience before tomorrow, your best bet is going to be to memorize the commands and their outcomes.

    got a 783 on hardware and a 701 on os. Fyi there was only one question about f-keys and the answer was F8 lol. Now there was 2 question on cpu's and i kid you not it was the same question but in reverse. what socket was used for an athalon and what processor goes in to a socket A. double lol. next stop Network+
