Or if you do I always go with ones recommended by friends that have had good luck with them and for direct hire roles only.

Not always the case, but this is usually the case.

Tips for working with IT recruiters?? We have to make their job that much easier??

I personally like recruiters. Granted, you do have to filter out a lot of noise, but some of them are pretty decent.

I'd suggest working with recruiters through linkedin, as you can check out their recommendations from clients, and use that as a filtering method.

I'm with BGraves. Don't. I've not had any good experiences with recruiters.
