Hello, I am finishing my CCNA R&S pretty soon. Shooting for the CCNA:S this summer. Right now I have 3 1841s, and 3 2950. I was thinking about getting an ASA, do you think that it's necessary? What resources would you recommend, I can't seem to find a good lab manual. I skimmed through the Cisco press book and didn't see any mention of labs. I learn the most from getting my hands dirty, what do you guys recommend?

IIRC, you can replicate an ASA in GNS3. When I completed CCNA:Security I did purchase a 5505 appliance; and quickly discovered it just isn't worth the money unless you plan on implementing it at home and getting a license for multiple VLAN's. -

An ASA is not required for CCNA:S.
Configuring an ASA is primarily in CCNP:S. I did the same and purchased a 5505 but didn't really use it for the exam.
