not sure how do set up this topology

Hey, so I am learning on this site and they show this network that they will use as an example to teach and I always recreate the exact thing in GNS3 and just follow the commands. Well this one for OSPF has confused me, I have no idea how to set this up. It looks like they split the fast ethernet interface without a switch so i'm just not sure if they messed up or what. Can someone look at this really quick and tell me how to do this? That is usually the representation of a LAN segment so yes a switch would be there. It's just not physically shown in the diagram.
