Just got word from my mentor that WGU will be doing away with JAVA, Database and Microsoft programming classes next semester! Linux classes will be graduated to 3 CU's per course and Finite Mathematics/College Algebra classes will receive additional CU's. CCNA courses will also receive a bump in CU's. It appears the WGU is wanting to place more emphasis on IT Security for the BS IT Security degree plan. What sucks: If you have taken any of the courses that will receive a bump in CU's, you will not be awarded those CU's when the new degree plan becomes active.
In other words, the plan in retroactive for only transferred courses and
not courses completed and taken at WGU. I have the second half of Linux coming up (2CU's) and upon completion of the course I will be one short of two CU according to WGU's new degree plans, which will now rate Linux at 3CU's per course. Hope this made sense
