Have only tried basic connectivity through ms sql ssms and odbc, but is it possible to query the car database with ms sql? Need to run some detailed reports on calls and using the car ui isnt exactly the best. Suggestions?

For now, just a basic one but mgmt will progressively want more detail.

Calling #, called #, timestamp, duration

if you are just looking for is basic, you can just have a **** the files and use excel or SQL to clean them up to get what you want. I usually only recommend quires to advanced users, as you are dealing with potentially large data sets(depending on your settings) which can have some adverse affects to your environment.

The other option is if they are going want more and more detail, just purchase an 3party app designed to pull the data for you and store it. CUCM can erase that data pretty fast depending on your settings.

Check out Sideview's Splunk for Cisco CDR - It's relatively cheap and easy to use.
