Got the 685 on the 3rd try. Tough cert, but I got it.

Also took the ITILv3 today.

Woo hoo!

On to 70-642 Windows 2008 Server Network Config!

    Hey Man!! Congratulations!
Do you have any advice for those of us who are taking the 685 in the near future? I took it about a month and a half a ago and missed it. Got a 614. I had a difficult time understanding the questions at times. Thanks!

    Brandonm2,

After flunking the the test twice, I did it the old fashioned way. I was studying with books and Skillport (provided by work), and took some practice tests. Whatever concepts I saw that I consistently missed, for example BranchCache, BitLocker, etc, I just read everything I could on them. I have the Windows 7 inside out book as a reference and I would look up the relevant subject there. Then I finally understood.

I also got the book by Darrell Gibson, with the command lines for 680. That helped a LOT. I just got to the point I knew the logic and I could identify the command line on the test, or at least eliminate the wrong ones.

Good Morning Geo, I'd probably go for the 2012r2 cert at this point. Otherwise you'll have to go through the upgrade route and take extra tests. Just a thought though. Good job on the pass.
