Hi there... I am currently living in UK and I am searching for a good and recognized certification to take. I found CREST organization and I believe that it has the most recognizable certs at least for UK.. The thing is that by checking the syllabus that they have on their site [ http://www.crest-approved.org/wp-content/uploads/crest-technical-syllabus-v1.3.1_FINAL_LB.pdf ] all the information is very broad and its not specific what it takes..
I have an MSc in Information Security and I have surely a good understanding of "penetration testing". I struggle to understand what I should specifically study in order to take the exam.
Is there anybody that holds it and could shed some light? Obviously I am not asking for specific questions etc, I am asking a guidance for study material.

The linked PDF in your post is several years old. Here is the latest release of that same technical syllabus PDF: http://www.crest-approved.org/wp-content/uploads/crest-technical-syllabus-v1.51.pdf
After looking through this syllabus, it reminds a lot of the information in the CEHv8 materials. That would be a good place to start looking for entry level pen testing information.
