can you use a used online labs card for MCSA courses?

I'm scheduled to start courses at my local community college in January for Server 2012 and Windows 8 (70-410 and 70-687). Looking at the books new they're kinda pricey. I'm wondering if I buy a used one can I use the card that came with it or is the access card only good for a one-time registration, most likely used by whoever bought the book new?

The MOAC registration code is a onetime code for 180 days. Go to the Wiley website and do a search with the ISBN from your syllabus, scroll way down to see options. You might be able to purchase just the registration code. Compare that to buying the book with the code. Then search Amazon, etc. for best price.
