Hi

I have good Linux skills, but Zero skills with AWS

I wish to take AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate Level. As study guide I will use https://linuxacademy.com/amazon-web-services/training/course/name/aws-certified-sysops-administrator-associate-level

Can I use this video training as first step? Or other study guide as first step?

On AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate there is written:
Eligible candidates for this exam have:
  • One or more years of hands-on experience operating AWS-based applications

is this really needed?

Anyone took the exam and can share preparation and tipps?

For learning how to use Amazon Web Services your greatest tool is actually working with the actual environment. Amazon has the tendency to change things very quickly when it comes to how things work. The tool I found most useful is https://run.qwiklabs.com/. It gives different scenarios and show how to use each tool and it is very cheap.

It is recommended that you have the experience of a year. If you are comfortable with using the environment and are more than proficient with the CLI. You should give it a try.

Why dont you first buy a practice test and then test yourself. That should be helpful in understanding how much you know and if it is enough to pass the exam.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Cheers

Linux Academy recommends that you first learn (with video training) and take "AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate". As far as I understood it's an introduction to AWS. It's designed for people new to AWS.
