Possible to pass CISSP with no info sec experience?

Hey,

So after doing a search on here over the last few days i noticed one or two comments about it being all about experience in info sec in order to pass the CISSP. I have 5 years networking exp as network admin ,and ccna will this help in cissp? Surely theres a bit of overlap between both titles/roles.
So, whats the general consensus?

Yep i did it with less exp. Your overthinking it. Put in the study time and you'll be fine. Don't approach it like a cisco or ms exam. This is a thinking exam not a execution exam.

Yes your ccna and 5 years of experience will help in network/telecom & access control areas of the test but for the other domains you will need to read any of the famous cissp books. i highly recommend shon harris (AIO)

It is a pretty easy test. Develop a study/test taking plan and knock it out.
