eLearnSecurity All Access Pass $3999 - Worth it?!

fuz1onfuz1on Member Posts: 961 ■■■■□□□□□□
So after the great reviews on here, I decided to check out eLearnSecurity and got the PTS v2 w/ Hera lab just to check out the material; I also got the Coliseum 360 course. I have to say I'm pretty impressed but that's because I haven't taken a class over at Offensive Security or any other organization that is NICE accredited for penetration testing - YET.

I'm just asking if their All Access Pass (lifetime access and 7 non-expiring certifications) is worth it at the price they are offering? I have seen the eCPPT gain respect and popularity lately but...

Thanks in advance!

I personally think yes it's worth it as far as everything you get for the price. I do know that in searching I still get zero hits on Indeed for eCPPT. So really I think it depends what you're after. If you want to learn all of the areas they offer and have the material available to you for a lifetime, and be able to at least perform the things you learn and speak to it in an interview, and you can easily afford it, yes I think its worth it. From a pure ROI standpoint, I guess it's yet to be seen because none of their certs are going to get you past the HR filter. Now if you learn everything and can find another way to land an interview and you can demonstrate the knowledge, then you'll realize the ROI. Just my opinions and others may differ. I actually signed up for the PTPv3 to do before going on to the OSCP and I think their material is excellent and presented well.

Thanks for the info, @JoJoCal19. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get it now. I finished PTSv2 last night and I have to admit - I picked up a few lil tricks here and there. Also, I was really impressed with their concise but effective C++ and Python tutorials too.

If you haven't already, check out their demo for PTPv3. It should be the privilege escalation portion of the post exploitation module. That is what really sold me on the PTPv3 course. I had no experience with that and after going through that portion that they give you, felt really confident I could perform that task. I really like the way they teach the various topics. And now going through the web security portion of PTPv3 since purchasing it, it's the same thing. Just the way they explain everything, it just clicks.

Personally, I would say it is definitely worth it. All that knowledge for $4000? Really a no brainer. JoJoCal19 nails it, if you get an interview and have all the knowledge these courses would provide you'd be hired in a minute.
