I got This Idea

Dont know if this has been done or discussed. But I have been thinking. Most of us on this great forum is employed and most time have insider knowledge of new and upcoming job opportunity within our company. Do you guys/Gal think it would be a good idea to have a section where we can make a posting about these job, for the benefit of the community?

yep, with internal jobs at our various organizations verified to be open by a fellow members

That would be cool. It could be a place where people post things about jobs and even degree related stuff to help everyone out here. Great idea.

It would. This section is called IT jobs/degrees but we mostly talk about jobs we already have. This area would just be our version of Dice lol

I cant find one thats dedicated for the purpose i described above. If you know of one, please post a link so that we all can check it out

Are people discouraged to not post job offers because there aren't many in this section? If so, then sure but I'm not sure there's a lot of job offers people have that they want to post here and haven't. LinkedIn would be much better suited for this.

i've seen various threads posted where someone will mention about an opening @ the firm they're at...so it's not uncommon, but there is no one thread dedicated to that...

This is my opinion.
If someone is seeking a new job then they should be actively searching for work on the web, through networking , linked, ect.

By having a thread of available jobs, you're not helping the job seeker help themselves.
The job seeker should be actively looking for work.
Again this is my opinion. Sure you can ask questions..Anyone hiring in this state ect...? Please review my resume ect.
However, having a massive job thread doesn't do much good.

If someone wants to post a job at their firm, then they will.
They should do this in the IT Jobs/Degree forum.
Job seekers should browse that forum daily to look for updates.
I agree with techfeind[b/] that linked in would be better suited for your request.
There is a tech exam forums linked in group.

I just see a sticky jobs thread or sub forum creating a lot of uneeded noise on this forum.

I Think everyone on here should know about indeed/linkedin already. I am not suggesting that a person should find openings on those site and post it here to make it easier. What I am talking about are internal job openings that current employees of the company have knowledge of before the general public. Alot of companies will ask current employees to spread the word about a new job before they spend the money and effort to post the job externally

That's the best idea I have ever had @Techguru365.

Sure there is a thread where people can post job sites but everyone is looking for jobs on job sites this is a unique idea you get insider information first hand I don't see any reason why we should rule this off without careful consideration.

Come to think of it this will only benefit the locals (US) I don't think we have enough members from South Africa to support this.

I love this idea and I would post jobs on said section. Better to have you guys interview for the job then some random. Atleast I can look at your post history and see what you been up to
